TOP SECRET INVITATION. MYSTERIOUS LOCATION. FLASH MOB READING TAKE OVER.

Kids will be thrilled to receive their Top Secret invitations, revealing the mystery locations for their reading club! This will be a flash mob style event where children show up with their favorite book to participate in the event. Tshirts will be provided to each VIP member (All children signed up for the event are VIPs.)

Why should adults have all the fun in “flash mob events” such as the Diner en Blanc? Let’s make San Antonio, TX the first location to take over the city with a Flash Mob of children readers!

This reading club has a fun twist that lets kids enjoy some good “ol” fashioned mail, secret invitations, and a city take over with their favorite books. These programs involve parents. They are not a drop off event. All events will be held in public locations (such as a Starbucks or Chick fil a). Once your child is signed up, they will be on the mailing list.

Some perks to this reading club include: showing our town what great readers look like, a free drink at the event (ie. kids’ hot chocolate or apple juice), a free Tshirt, and prizes at the event.

For early readers, there will be a team reading stories. Older children will bring their favorite book and enjoy seeing other readers. Not only will kids attend a fun reading club, but they will also promote reading to other children who can join in!
