Meet the Founder
Timea Parker
Timea Parker
Drawing inspiration from her 4 sons Timea Parker founded J4 Kids Coach. The idea behind this nonprofit began over a decade ago during her residency for her Master’s Program. Surprisingly, it was during a summer vacation to Vancouver, Canada in 2016 that the program details came to life and J4 Kids Coach a 501c3 nonprofit became a reality.
With an undergrad in education, she is active with her children’s academic and extracurricular programs. She believes learning can be a delight and would like to encourage children to always pursue it!
She is the founder of PAS Consulting, LLC a for profit consulting firm and has also served on the board of directors for a nonprofit organization on the West Coast. She enjoys living in the Texas Hill Country with her husband and 4 boys. As a family, they enjoy kayaking, skiing and traveling.

Shirley Smith
Shirley Smith
Shirley Smith is a teacher of students with mild to moderate learning disabilities. She graduated
from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and worked for six years in the construction industry, which included K-12 educational facilities. These experiences eventually led her to pursue a teaching credential from San Francisco State University. Since 2008, she has worked with students from elementary school to grade 12. One of her student’s favorite lessons is taught by her fictitious character, Mrs. Liliuokalani, a feisty and hilarious Science teacher, with a bad Hawaiian accent. In 2012, Shirley earned the “Iron Science Teacher” title at the Exploratorium’s Teacher Institute for her original story of “The 3 Little Chickens”, as told by Farmer Smith. Shirley is passionate about instilling a love for learning in her students and excels at creating environments where all students learn, regardless of their learning differences. In her spare time, Shirley enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking,
meeting new people, and capsizing dinghy boats as she learns to become a sailor.
